Author/Compiler : YH Mew is a graduate in History of the former University of Singapore (now the National University of Singapore). He was a teacher for several years before becoming an editor and later a publisher of educational and children’s books. He takes a keen interest in the teaching of English to young and adult learners.

Rosalind Fergusson, a former teacher, has spent 25 years compiling a wide range of language related reference books. She has contributed to the following titles, among many others: Chambers School Spelling (2003), Cassell Dictionary of English Idioms (1999), Macmillan Guide to English Grammar (1998).
