| Author/Compiler : | George Davidson is a graduate in French and General Linguistics of the University of Edinburgh. He has taught French and linguistics at secondary school and college level, and has carried out research into the linguistics of the Indo-European languages. He is a former senior editor with W & R Chambers of Edinburgh, and is the author of three books on English grammar, usage and spelling.
